These Terms govern your use of the Simonides hosted AI trial. Please read them before using the Service.

Acceptance of Terms
Effective August 31, 2026. These Terms of Use govern your access to the Simonides hosted AI trial (the “Service”), operated by Simonides (“Simonides,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding agreement. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
Use of Service
The Service provides a limited, free demonstration that uses artificial intelligence to create study materials from note content you choose to submit. You may use it only for lawful, personal, and non-commercial evaluation. You must have the right to submit all content you provide. Do not submit sensitive personal information, confidential information, credentials, regulated data, or material you are not authorized to disclose. You may not automate or resell access; bypass quotas or security controls; impersonate another person; interfere with the Service; introduce malicious code; probe for vulnerabilities without written authorization; or use the Service in a way that violates law or another person’s rights. We may enforce per-installation, per-network, and service-wide limits. Attempts admitted for processing may count against a limit even if generation fails.
Trial Availability
The Service is an experimental, capacity-limited demo, not a production service. Access is provided without charge, service-level commitments, support commitments, or any guarantee that a request will be accepted or completed. Capacity may be exhausted, and generated results may be incomplete or unavailable. We may modify quotas, features, models, eligibility, or other aspects of the Service, or suspend or discontinue it, at any time. We are not responsible for preserving submitted content or generated results. You should retain your own copies of anything important.
Intellectual Property and AI Output
Except for user content and third-party or open-source components, the Service—including its software, design, documentation, and marks—is owned by us or our licensors and protected by applicable law. You retain any rights you have in content you submit. You grant us and our service providers a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to process that content solely to operate, secure, and maintain the Service. As between you and us, you may use the generated results for any lawful purpose. To the extent we acquire rights in a generated result, we assign those rights to you. AI-generated material may not be unique, accurate, complete, or eligible for intellectual-property protection, and similar material may be generated for others. You are responsible for reviewing results before relying on or distributing them.
No Professional Advice
The Service and its generated results are provided for educational and demonstration purposes only. They are not professional, legal, medical, financial, academic, or other expert advice. Generated results may contain errors or omit important context. You are responsible for checking results against the original source material and exercising independent judgment. Do not use the Service as the sole basis for decisions that could affect anyone’s rights, safety, health, finances, education, or employment.
Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AVAILABILITY, SECURITY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SIMONIDES AND ITS AFFILIATES, LICENSORS, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST DATA, PROFITS, GOODWILL, OR OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING FROM THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED US$100. These limitations do not apply where prohibited by law and do not limit any rights that applicable consumer law does not allow you to waive.
Suspension and Termination
We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, created risk for the Service or another person, attempted to evade usage limits, or exposed us to legal liability. You may stop using the Service at any time. Provisions concerning intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, and dispute resolution will survive termination where their nature requires it.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Service, our practices, or applicable law. The current version will be posted with an updated effective date. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide a prominent notice where reasonably practicable. Changes apply prospectively from their stated effective date. Your continued use after that date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Governing Law and Contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be resolved in a court of competent jurisdiction, subject to applicable law.
